The First Nations Carer Advisor, the initial contact for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander carers in Victoria via the Carer Gateway, supports diverse carers – parents, partners, spouses, young people and children, other family members, friends or neighbours. They ensure culturally sensitive and appropriate support, guiding carers through the Carer Support Planning process for a culturally informed caregiving journey.
